He’s a craftsman, she’s a wordsmith. He’s an Aussie, her family are French. Intrepid travellers, adventurers and entrepreneurs, Simon and Emilie were a definite highlight in my year as a Sydney wedding photographer in 2013.
This couple were really cool. As in, the type of people you wish you could be friends with beyond the few hours spent documenting their totally gorgeous Palm Beach wedding. As a Sydney wedding photographer it doesn’t get much better than a relaxed wedding on Sydney’s sunny Northern beaches!
When they aren’t traveling to Afghanistan or making their own wedding rings, these two spend their time running a wooden sunglasses company in the Northern Beaches. Three Twigs is a “world of wooden eyewear… full of wearable timbery treats”. Like I said, really cool.
11 years in the making, these guys definitely belong together and it was an absolute honour to be their wedding photographer.
PS I just spoke to Emilie yesterday. She’d just arrived back in Australia with Simon after their honeymoon in Iran and Sierra Leone. Gotta love how unconventional these guys are!
