Being a fellow wedding photographer – I was pretty stoked at being asked by Keegan to be his Wanaka wedding photographer in New Zealand. The other day I wrote to Keegan and asked for some information about his wedding to put at the top of this blog post – and he did such a good job that I’m not going to rewrite it:
Olivia and I met on a school bus on the way to a fun run in Sydney. We both grew up in the same coastal town and had bumped into each other occasionally. We have been together for 11 years since and have moved from place to place doing what we love. Olivia works in a hospital and I work as a photographer. We spent a lot of the years travelling to countries on our bucket list. We both love the outdoors and unique landscapes. We love mountains and the cold so New Zealand was such a perfect fit for us. We didn’t want our day to be dictated by expectations of what everyone else does when planning a wedding. Our day was an intimate gathering on the lawn just outside the house we were staying in. It was our closest family and friends and we even chose James because he had such a big influence in my career as a photographer. It was literally having our friend take the photos which made the day even more special as their was no anxiety or stress over anything.
